Here at KanKun HQ we are delighted to bring you our new range of mole sauces. Moles are quintessential to Mexican cuisine, and are becoming the new foodie’s trend.

Our moles are made in Mexico to traditional recipes. Rolando’s aim was to  create the flavours and tastes that reminded him of his childhood and time spent in the company of his family. KanKun Moles are the perfect combination of ingredients  to showcase the flavours of Mexico in every jar. Our Green Mole, Poblano Mole and Pipian Mole offer a variety of tastes and aromas to suit every palate.

Green Mole:

Our traditional green mole is made with a base of green chillies, green tomatoes and pumpkin seeds. The aromatic flavour is generated with the addition of coriander and epazote, an important Mexican herb used since the Aztec times. Green mole is traditionally served with chicken or pork and it is the lightest and least spicy of the KanKun mole range.

Poblano Mole:

The most quintessential of moles, Poblano mole is made from a base of rich dried chillies, nuts and a touch of chocolate. A deeply flavoured sauce, it has hints of sweetness and spice that make it a perfect option for red meat and poultry. It can also be used to make authentic tasting Mexican enchiladas.

Pipian Mole:

The spiciest of the KanKun mole range, Pipian mole boasts both guajillo and ancho chillies as well as chilli seeds. A touch of anise, combined with coriander and garlic give richness to this sauce, while a mixture of nuts and seeds add depth. Pipian mole tastes great with pulled pork or chicken.
